Hans Friedrichs is a New York-based stage director, actor, and teacher working off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally. His shows have received The New York Innovative Theatre Award as well as multiple Wilde Awards (Michigan’s professional Theatre Awards) for Outstanding Production and Best Director. As an actor, he was the recipient of the BroadwayWorld (Madison) Award for Outstanding Actor in a Play for his performance in MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS.

Yes, I am also an actor (it keeps me honest!). I have performed Off-Broadway, regionally, and Stock as well as TV and Film. I took a step back from acting for about 15 years to concentrate on my directing, but in the past few years I have come back acting in projects like TRU and playing Hercule Poirot in MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS for which I won the Broadway World Award (Madison) for Outstanding performance by and actor in a leading role, and the show itself won for Outstanding Production of a Play!
